Middle School Day!

Today, the whole 5th grade (from 9:15-1:00) was able to tour the middle school classrooms, rooms, gym, field, etc. We were also able to go to a middle school assembly and vote for the officers of student council next year. On top of that, we got to eat lunch with them in the north cafeteria and have recess in the courtyard and north field. It was super fun and from this experience, these are 3 words that describe how I feel about middle school now: Nervous/Overwhelmed, Prepared, Excited.

Some of the things that I learned from this activity and other knowledge I have of middle school:

  • We get 10 minutes for transitions from class to class
  • Only in 6th grade, you get an organizer to put in your locker
  • If you want to get out of extended day, do all of your homework. If you don't do your homework, finish it BEFORE extended day so you won't have to go
  • Some lockers have really hard combinations, and some have super simple and easy combinations. It's a 50 50 chance.
