Friday Market

Big Friday Market  by: Maleia Chapman

On May 27th 2016 there was a big Friday Market where all of the classes from second grade to 5th grade got to sell things to raise money to build schools in Zambia. People were selling things like food from their country, sweets, bookmarks, clothes, accessories, popcorn, cotton candy, music, toys and even some guessing games. Our class contributed in doing a bake sale. I baked Oreo chocolate cupcakes for my part in our class bake sale. We each took turns in selling the food and buying from other people. It was super fun to see what other people were selling and sell to others! I am so glad that our class took part of this fun activity to help poor people get an education and have a good life in Africa. We learned how to manage money, how to get customers and taking action in big parts. I really enjoyed this.
